Requirements

In order to earn the Bachelor of Arts in business administration degree with a major in business economics, students must complete a minimum of 180 quarter credits with a cumulative and major/program grade point average of 2.25, including the following:

I. Core Curriculum Requirements

Module I: Engaging Academic Inquiry

UCOR 1100 - Academic Writing Seminar
UCOR 1200 - Quantitative Reasoning (satisfied in major)
UCOR 1300 - Creative Expression and Interpretation
UCOR 1400 - Inquiry Seminar in the Humanities
UCOR 1600 - Inquiry Seminar in the Social Sciences
UCOR 1800 - Inquiry Seminar in the Natural Sciences (or BIOL 1610/1611, 2200, CHEM 1500/1501, PHYS 1050/1051, 1210/1211)

II. Albers Business Foundation Requirements*

82 credits, including:

Calculus, choose one of the following two courses:

ECON 3110 - Intermediate Microeconomics
ECON Electives (see course descriptions ) (20)

Choose from: upper-division ECON courses, excluding ECON 4890 . Either ECON 3500 or ECON 4800 may be included but not both. FINC 3430 may be included.

NOTE:

ECON 3130 must be taken as part of the business foundation or as an upper-division economics course.
Internships or independent studies will not satisfy major requirements.

* Major requirements must earn a C- grade or better.
