MEGR 4810 - Design Optimization3 credit hours Application based overview of engineering design optimization methods, involving both theory and practical usage. Topics to be covered include the importance of engineering design models, linear and nonlinear optimization, the use of relevant software packages and tools for handling multiple objectives. Students will also complete a quarter long project involving the implementation of design optimization to a problem of interest. Group work required.
