EDLS 4300 - edTPA Seminar I

1 credit hour
First course in a two-course sequence. The purpose of this course sequence is to scaffold students for success with the edTPA, an externally administered teacher performance assessment mandated by the state of Washington and required for teacher certiication. Students will be introduced to key elements of the perfonnance assessment and specific tasks required and will develop initial familiarity with crucial support documents. Elements of the edTPA that are consistent with fundamental tenets of curriculum design and assessment employed in professional practice and used throughout the EDLS curriculum will be emphasized.
