PHYS 3450 - Introduction to Numerical Methods

5 credit hours
In-depth study of numerical methods applied to physics problems. Topics include systems of linear equations; numerical integration and differentiation; initial-value and boundary-value problems (IVPs and BVPs); partial differential equations (PDEs); and the Monte-Carlo technique. Four lecture hours and one computer laboratory hour per week.

Prerequisite Course(s): A grade C- or better in MATH 2320; proficiency in a programming language
