KINE 3300 - Physical Activity Across the Lifespan

5 credit hours
The purpose of this course is to understand the role that physical activity plays in the promotion of health and well-being across the lifespan, starting in infancy through older adulthood. The primary topics will be discussed in this course include: 1) the developmental needs of humans across the lifespan; 2) the use of physical activity to meet developmental needs, maintain health, and prevent disease; 3) biopsychosocial barriers that prevent individuals from being physically active at each developmental stage; and 4) how to promote physical activity across the development stages of life from an individual and community perspective.
