MLSC 1010 - Foundations of Leadership

MLSC 1010 focuses on introduction to the Army and basic Soldier skills. It introduces Cadets to the Army and the Profession of Arms. Students will examine the Army Profession and what it means to be a professional in the U.S. Army. The overall focus is on developing basic knowledge and comprehension of leadership. Proficient in leader attributes, competencies, character, competence, and commitment as trusted. Demonstrate proficiency in mission command philosophy, Mission Command Leader and Commander Tasks. Demonstrate capacity in creative critical thinking, communications skills, cultural awareness, cross cultural competencies in the strategic environment, comprehensive fitness/resiliency skills and performance enhancement skills, lifelong learning, self-assessment, and goal setting.
