Requirements:
To earn a minor in Arabic, students must complete 35 credits, with a minimum grade of C in each course, including:
Language/culture courses:
Elective Courses:
To be taken after completion of second year language/culture courses. Minimum of 5 credits from:
NOTES:
- If a student’s native language is Arabic, the student may not receive an Arabic minor.
- Minimum grade of C is required in each course.
- The language courses must be taken in sequence, and the elective course or courses should be taken following the completion of the second-year language/culture courses.
- Students who waive (through a placement test) one or more of the first-year language courses may fulfill the 35 credit requirement by taking one or more of the elective courses and/or through an approved study-abroad program in an Arabic-speaking country.
