Requirements

In order to earn a minor in physics, students must complete 30 credits in physics with a grade point average of 2.00, including:

PHYS 1210 - Mechanics 4 credit hours
PHYS 1211 - Mechanics Lab 1 credit hour
PHYS 1220 - Electricity and Magnetism 4 credit hours
PHYS 1221 - Electricity and Magnetism Lab 1 credit hour
PHYS 1230 - Waves, Optics, and Heat 4 credit hours
PHYS 1231 - Waves, Optics, and Heat Lab 1 credit hour
PHYS 2040 - Special Relativity 3 credit hours
PHYS 2080 - Introduction to Quantum Physics 4 credit hours
PHYS Electives (2000 level or above) (see Course Descriptions ) (8)

NOTES:

No physics courses numbered 1200 or below may be counted toward the minor.
