Requirements
In order to earn the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Diagnostic Ultrasound, students must complete a minimum of 180 quarter credits with a grade point average of 2.00, including:
I. Core Curriculum Requirements
Module I: Engaging Academic Inquiry
Module II: Engaging Jesuit Traditions
Module III: Engaging the World
II. Major Requirements
126 credits, including:
First-Year and Sophomore Level Courses:
37 credits, including:
NOTE:
*MATH 1021 /1028 may be satisfied by a higher-level 5-credit MATH course
Junior Level Courses:
39 credits, including 18 credits required for all students and a 21-credit track:
Diagnostic Ultrasound Track Specialization
DIUS track specialization - Vascular, General or Cardiac Vascular:
Senior Level:
50 credits, including:
NOTES:
1. The number of contact hours for lecture, lab, and practice/clinical courses is consistent with university policy on course scheduling.
2. All courses required for the DIUS degree must be graded C (2.00) or better.
III. Additional Requirements
General electives to total 180 (4 to 6 credits)
Post Baccalaureate Bachelor of Science Degree
In order to earn the post baccalaureate bachelor of science degree with a major in diagnostic ultrasound, students generally complete the 89 quarter credits required for the Post Baccalaureate Diagnostic Ultrasound Certificate , as well as the following Core requirements, with a grade point average of 2.00:
