Requirements
In order to earn the bachelor of science in chemistry degree, students must complete a minimum of 180 quarter credits with a cumulative and major/department grade point average of 2.00, including the following: I. Core Curriculum Requirements
Module I: Engaging Academic Inquiry
Module II: Engaging Jesuit Traditions
Module III: Engaging the World
II. Major Requirements
63 credits in chemistry, including: III. Other Major Department Requirements
NOTE:
- For the American Chemical Society certified degree option, the 3-credit elective, above under II, becomes 6 credits and these must include CHEM 4500 .
- For students planning graduate work, any of the courses, MATH 2320 , MATH 2340 , CHEM 4700 , CHEM 4701 , CHEM 4800 , CHEM 4500 , CHEM 4501 , CHEM 4610 , and CHEM 4520 are strongly recommended as electives.
