PHYS 2040 - Special Relativity

Introduction to the special theory of relativity. Topics covered include Einstein’s postulates of the principle of relativity and the constancy of the speed of light; simple kinematics and dynamics: simultaneity, time dilation, space-time diagrams, twin and other “paradoxes”; geometric descriptions of space-time.
