DIUS 3030 - Cardiac Sonography I4 credit hours Cardiac Sonography I is the first quarter of a three quarter specialty series in the Diagnostic Ultrasound (DIUS) program.This course establishes the foundational knowledge and skill to provide care for the Cardiac Sonography patient. This course will examine the role of the Sonographer in the context of industry best practices to ensure accurate care during each step of the Sonography exam.Emphasis will be on the standard imaging protocols and normal criteria of the anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics and sonographic appearance of the heart.
