DIUS 3020 - General Sonography I4 credit hours General Sonography I is the first quarter of a three quarter specialty series in the Diagnostic Ultrasound (DIUS) program. This course establishes the foundation for you to provide excellent care for your General Sonography patients. This course will examine the role of the Sonographer in following current industry best practices to ensure accurate care each step of the Sonography exam. Emphasis will be placed on the standard imaging protocols and normal criteria of the anatomy, physiology, hemodynamics and sonographic appearance of the head, chest, abdomen and pelvis.
