EDLS 3300 - Special Education Foundations2 credit hours This course is an introduction to special education including an overview of historical/legal foundations, special education law procedures, individualized education programs (IEPs), and differences in childhood development. The course is designed to give you an overview of the issues involved regarding the evaluation and intervention with students from diverse backgrounds who have an identified disability or are suspected of having a disability.
