HIST 4030 - Augustus, Romans, and Others: Research Seminar

Seminar on key transformations in the Roman world before and after the lifetime of Octavian (renamed Augustus), who became the first emperor of imperial Rome when Roman identity was itself changing. Students complete a 20-30 page research paper on an aspect of this history using written and material primary sources.
