PHYS 3850 - Quantum Mechanics5 credit hours A mathematical treatment of quantum mechanics using complex vector spaces, operators, wave functions, and abstract Dirac notation. Topics treated include wave-particle duality, the state function, the Schrodinger equation, one-dimensional problems, the operator formalism, matrices, central forces, angular momentum, spin, identical particles.
