EMBA 533 - Accounting for Strategic Decision Making Part II2 Provides a grasp of financial reports at the conceptual (as opposed to procedural) level. It seeks to instill the ability to ask effective questions about a company’s performance and financial condition and to understand the forthcoming answers. This is achieved by developing the following skills: understanding the message contained in financial reports; computing profitability and risk measures; determining whether financial reports can be trusted; building pro-forma statements; and assessing fair value.
