NURS 5407 - Acute Care III- Advance Practice Critical Care5 credit hours Focuses on management of critical and emergent health problems for adult and older adult patients. Diagnostic reasoning is develop a multi-disciplinary plan of care for patients who require critical care support with unstable and emergent conditions. Evidenced-based approaches to acute care management drawing upon theories, research, clinical knowledge, and practice standards are used to develop therapeutic plans. This course builds on fundamentals of critical care medicine and nursing. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
