NURS 5405 - Acute Care Practicum II- Management of Acute Conditions during Altered States of Health3 credit hours Focuses on management of complex and rapidly changing acute and emergent health problems for adult and older adult patients requiring inpatient management. Diagnostic reasoning is used to differentiate the basis of chronic or acute problems in the rapidly changing health status. Evidenced-based approaches to acute care management drawing upon theories, research, clinical knowledge, and practice standards are used to develop therapeutic plans. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
