NURS 6111 - Health Informatics I3 credit hours An introductory graduate-level course that examines terminology and tools of the health informatics field for application to clinical practice, administration, education, community, and research. This course is the first of a five course sequence to prepare students to enter the field of health informatics and as a first step to prepare for taking the national certification exam. For nursing majors, this course will serve as an introduction to health informatics, a discipline which impacts every specialty group within the health care industry. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
