Examines the theory and practice of assessment as a component of curriculum and instruction in classroom settings. Students explore a variety of assessment activities, prepare and apply methods of assessment appropriate to their own practice, and critically investigate issues in the current national and state movements toward accountability and “high-stakes” assessmen.
