NURS 5065 - Advanced Pharmacology for Nursing Care2 credit hours Formerly - NURS 565 Examination of advanced pharmacological principles and drug actions encountered by registered nurses providing complex nursing care across the lifespan. Synthesis of drug treatment regimen and laboratory data. Analysis of therapeutic and adverse drug effects and evaluation of consequent nursing interventions. Placement: Spring term first year for APNI MSN and RN MSN students. These course credits do not qualify as “advanced pharmacology course credits” required for nurse practitioner credentialing. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
