Requirements
In order to earn the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting, students must complete a minimum of 180 quarter credits with a cumulative and major/program grade point average of 2.00, including the following:
I. Core Curriculum Requirements
Module I: Engaging Academic Inquiry
Module II: Engaging Jesuit Traditions
Module III: Engaging the World
II. Albers Business Foundation Requirements*
77 credits, including:
III. Major Requirements*
25 credits, including: IV. Program Elective*
- Choose one additional 3000/4000-level Albers Business course (5)
V. Additional Requirements
- General electives to total 180 (18)
Notes:
- Internships or independent studies will not satisfy major requirements.
- *Foundation/Major/Program requirements must earn a C- grade or better.
- Program Elective may also apply towards an additional Albers concentration or minor
- With advisor approval, students can take two of the following graduate courses instead of ACCT 3120 : RSKA 4310 /5310, RSKA 4360 /5360, ACCT 3365 /5355, ACCT 4330 /5330 and ACCT 4340 /5350. Students may register for the undergraduate equivalent of these graduate courses and will complete 26 credits of Accounting for the major.
- With permission of the chair of the accounting program, students with an undergraduate accounting degree from Seattle University who have taken RSKA 4310 /5310, RSKA 4360 /5360, ACCT 3365 /5355, ACCT 4330 /5330 and ACCT 4340 /5350 as part of their bachelor’s degree may apply 3 of these courses (9 credits) towards the Master of Science in Accounting and Analytics program at Seattle University. Students may register for the undergraduate equivalent of these graduate courses.
