The graduate certificates in business are designed to allow working professionals to develop expertise and acquire a credential beyond their undergraduate degree. The certificate program allows students to:
- Specialize in new areas of business
- Update older information or degree
- Acquire added skills and credentials to increase their career opportunities
The program allows a student, with guidance of a graduate programs coordinator, to choose a customized program of five to eight graduate business classes from the graduate courses offered through the Albers School of Business and Economics. Certificates are awarded in the following areas of specialization: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Fundamentals of Management, Global Business, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Leadership Formation, Marketing, and Risk Advisory and Assurance. Course work for the certificate may be applied to other advanced graduate degrees if enrolled in those degree programs prior to completion of the certificate program.
Requirements
Upon completion of the requirements for the Certificate in Marketing, students will have posted to their transcripts the entry, Certificate of Marketing and be issued a certificate.

Notes:
- Students working on Professional Master of Business Administration (OMBA or PMBA) degree programs simultaneously must complete at least 12 certificate credits beyond any Core/Foundation courses required for the degree, i.e., MBA 5013 - Marketing Management or OMBA 5013 - Marketing Management .
- Take either MBA 5013 or OMBA 5013, not both.
- Either MKTG 5355 or OMBA 5355 may be taken for elective option, not both.
