The Professional Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is designed to prepare graduates for leadership responsibilities in business. The program is constructed with the following goals:

Demonstrate competence for managerial decision-making
Recognize and address moral and ethical challenges, and defend a course of action
Understand, integrate, and apply relevant knowledge and skills in a global context
Display competence in communications
Establish and maintain constructive working relationships
Develop self-awareness and professional purpose

All PMBA classes are held at the main Seattle campus. Courses are scheduled in the evening from 6:00 to 8:40 pm, Monday through Thursday nights, one course per evening.

Degree Requirements:

I. Core Courses

30 credits, including:

BETH 5120 - Business Ethics and Social Responsibility 3 credit hours
MBA 5005 - Accounting for Business 3 credit hours
MBA 5006 - Finance for Business 3 credit hours
MBA 5007 - Economics for Business 3 credit hours
MBA 5009 - Operations and Supply Chain Management 3 credit hours
MBA 5011 - Teams, Leadership and Decision-Making 4 credit hours
MBA 5012 - Law and Technology 3 credit hours
MBA 5013 - Marketing Management 3 credit hours
MBA 5235 - Professional and Interpersonal Communications 1 credit hour
MBA 5240 - Career Planning and Development 1 credit hour

Capstone: Applications in Strategy

Capstone may only be taken in the last 9 credits of a student’s program. Choose one of the following options for 3 credits:

MBA 5500 - Competitive Strategy 3 credit hours
MGMT 5340 - Business Consulting 3 credit hours (manifesting appropriate depth and breadth as determined by Program Director)

Notes:

Students must complete BETH 5120 , MBA 5005 , 5006 , 5007 , 5009 , 5011 and 5012 prior to advancing to electives unless otherwise approved by the Program Director.
MBA 5235 should be taken in the first 25 credit hours.

24 credits, including:

Approved Elective in Global Business (3)
General Electives (21)

Note:

A maximum of 6 credits of study tour can be used towards degree.
