MKTG 4620 - Consumption and Happiness

5 credit hours
This course explores the link between consumption and happiness, or subjective assessments of well-being. Emphasis will be given to the relationship between economic and subjective indicators of well-being, as well as the effects of different forms of consumption, including the use of technology. The course aims to expose students to recent advances in behavioral science on the determinants of a fulfilling and happy life, thereby providing them with tools to increase their personal happiness levels and increase societal well-being as a result of their consumption choices. The course typically includes a hands-on project with a socially-conscious organization.   

Prerequisite Course(s): MKTG 3500 with a grade of C- or above
