MATH 2315 - Probability, Statistics, and Data Computing

5 credit hours
Probability models; discrete and continuous random variables, basic concepts of descriptive and statistical inference; applications. The course will include use of a programming language such as Python to import, manipulate, and visualize data using standard programming constructs such as variables, operators, conditional statements, loops, functions, and external libraries. Cannot apply both MATH 2315 and MATH 3411 (formerly MATH 351) toward a mathematics major. Requisites may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor. 

Prerequisite Course(s): MATH 1335 with a C- or better
