CHEM 4830 - Environmental Organic Chemistry5 credit hours An examination of reaction pathways controlling the fates of organic contaminants in aquatic systems. Common reaction pathways such as hydrolysis, photolysis, and oxidation/reduction will be explored and rates of contaminant degradation will be predicted based on chemical structures and environmental conditions.
