MKTG 3540 - Retail Management5 credit hours This course covers various aspects of retailing, which is the set of activities, processes, and systems involved in the marketing and selling of offerings to consumers for their personal use. The course examines challenges related to merchandising practices, inventory management, advertising and promotional techniques, and multichannel competition (including online and offline marketplaces). Emphasis will be placed on sustainable and ethical retail management practices, as well as the role of technological advances in enabling the retailing process.
Prerequisite Course(s): C- or higher in MKTG 3500
