SPSY 5040 - Advance Counseling for Diverse School Populations

The purpose of this course is to (a) develop self awareness of one’s own cultural identity and how it influences practice while counseling diverse populations; (b) understand the school psychologist’s role in being a change agent, social advocate and leader for a just and humane world; and (c) understand ethical issues that arise as they relate to multicultural and social justice advocacy
