PSYC 5305 - Community Consultation and Advocacy3 credit hours This elective graduate seminar introduces students to the practices of community psychology and consultation with groups and organizations. We will explore different modes of outreach, advocating with marginalized populations, primary prevention, and psychoeducational interventions. The philosophical work of Martin Buber will help to frame these topics within the existential tradition of the Master’s Program and we will also have several guest lecturers engaged in community based interventions throughout the quarter.
