NURS 6202 - Midwifery Management of Antepartum Newborn and Post-partum Care5 credit hours Formerly - NURS 5060 Explore and evaluate the current theories of women’s and newborn’s health, including prenatal care, from several disciplines (biological, genetic, psychological, developmental, sociocultural and cultural). Develop critical thinking and management skillsfor a holistic approach to the primary care of women during the childbearingyear and lactation, and the immediate care and management of the newborn. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
