PUBM 5440 - Applied Data Analysis3 credit hours The objectives of this course are to 1. understand applied research in public administration, policy and management with an emphasis on issues relevant to government; 2. conduct data collection whether quantitative or qualitative; 3. analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data; 4. analyze quantitative data using Excel and SPSS; 5. transform data into information to make decisions; 6. present data in an informative and persuasive manner to make recommendations. Required. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
