STML 5740 - Leadership, Pluralism, and Inclusion3 credit hours This course is designed to create opportunities to integrate theory and practice on issues critical to functioning as an inclusive and learning-oriented leader and follower in organizations, and in society. Participants will examine their own ideas, styles, and behaviors in relation to the principles of inclusion, pluralism, and equality, and to their own social and organizational context. As a community of co-learners, we will use individual and collaborative processes to increase our understanding of what it means, and what it takes, to lead effectively in a diverse, pluralistic society. We will explore leadership and pluralism as inseparable commitments, an opportunity to honor our own and others’ spirit and humanity as we seek the common ground of respect, understanding, and possibility.
Prerequisite Course(s): STML 5750 Terms Typically Offered: winter
