STMM 5080 - Deacon Studies II

3 credit hours
Orientation, 10 weekends which include prayer, lecture, discussion, and liturgy. Topics covered: Hebrew and Christian Scriptures, Christology, Ecclesiology, Sacraments, Stages of Faith, Moral Decision Making, History of the church, Celebrating Sacraments, Preaching, Catechesis, and Deacon as Minister in the Church. In addition to completing regular monthly assignments, students submit a 10-page integration paper.

Registration Restriction(s): Must be accepted into a diaconal ministry preparation program
