COUN 5110 - Counseling Theories4 credit hours Exploration of theoretical foundations of major individual counseling approaches with opportunities for personal reflection and application. An introduction to the profession of counseling including an overview of history, ethics, professional organizations, plus current issues and trends such as multicultural counseling, social justice and advocacy competencies. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
