SPEX 1550 - Introduction to Kinesiology

3 credit hours
This course explores the broad spectrum of kinesiology as an academic discipline, fundamental concepts and meaning of movement/physical activity, diversity of humans as moving beings, professional/career options, current issues, personal characteristics/ professional responsibilities. Students will interact with faculty, peers, and professionals in related fields. Topics will focus on synergistic effects of subspecialties, vocational opportunities, vita writing and interviewing, and other current professional issues in preparation for post graduate career development.
