Study of the Torah or Pentateuch, the core of the Hebrew Bible. Stories of world creation and flood, of Israel’s ancestors, of slavery and liberation, of covenant and wandering. Critical reflection on the use of these stories in both Jewish and Christian traditions and in the theologies of contemporary marginalized groups. ST
