THRS 3313 - Christian-Muslim Dialogue5 credit hours Formerly - THRS 232 The objective of the course is to study and cultivate the human ability to cross cultural and religious boundaries. Its subject matter is the encounter of two major monotheistic religions: Christianity and Islam. Topics include: comparative themes in the Christian Bible and the Qur’an, the lives and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth and the prophet Muhammad, as well as contemporary ethical and political issues in these two traditions. Attention to Catholic perspectives on interreligious dialogue. WR
