PHYS 1230 - Waves and Optics

Completion of the calculus-based survey of physics for students of science and engineering. Topics covered include harmonic motion; mechanical, and electromagnetic waves; electromagnetic properties of materials; reflection, refraction, dispersion, interference, diffraction, and polarization of waves. Course includes laboratory component.
