STMM 507 - Deacon Studies I

3 credit hours

Orientation and full year of monthly theological and ministerial formation which include prayer, lecture, discussion, and liturgy. Topics covered: Scripture, Theology and Church History, Discernment, Principles of Public Prayer, Leading Public Prayer, Social Analysis, and diaconal service. In addition to completing regular monthly assignments, students submit a 10-page integration paper. Prerequisite: Must be accepted into a diaconal ministry preparation program.
