Examination of theoretical perspectives on psychiatric, cognitive, and emotional health problems affecting individuals across the lifespan as they relate to advanced practice psychiatric mental health nursing. Development of a systematic and holistic approach to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders across the lifespan. Analysis of scholarship, cultural considerations, ethical and social dilemmas, public policy concerns related to client care by advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurses.
