NURS 534 - Principles of Addiction Treatment

3 credit hours

Assessment, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and referral of drug- or alcohol-impaired clients across the lifespan for the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Students will choose a population of special interest to them, and focus course work on treatment of that client population. Sixty hours of clinical practice are required.(Theory, 1 cr.; Clinical, 2 cr.)
