HEMB 505 - Strategic Analysis of Domestic and International Economic Environments2 credit hours HLEMBA students will use macroeconomic concepts to understand the environment within which they are making strategic decisions. An understanding of macroeconomic concepts, such as the short run and long run impacts of government policies on national output, inflation, exchange rates, interest rates and unemployment will improve strategic decisions such as when to launch new products or programs, which geographic markets to enter or leave first, when and where in the world are prospects for economic growth the best, and when to take defensive positions in anticipation of recessions or inflation.
