Degree Requirements:
The APN immersion prepares non-nurses with undergraduate degrees as Community Health Specialists. Students are prepared to sit for the registered nurse licensure examination after four quarters of study. The advanced community public health nursing, leadership and program development specialty requires nine consecutive quarters of full-time study. The Leadership and Program Development specialty prepares nurses to collaborate with community and organizational members and leaders in the design, implementation, and evaluation of health programs for vulnerable populations.
