BLAW 5305 - Legal Issues for New Ventures

3 credit hours
This course will help students identify legal and regulatory challenges unique to new ventures and small businesses. Students will learn to analyze legal issues arising in the life cycle of a new business. Topics include choosing the right business form, protecting founders’ interests, employee issues, intellectual property, financing, the IPO process, and mergers & acquisitions.
