ART 3550 - Advanced Studio I: Contemporary Exhibition Practices5 credit hours The world of contemporary art is an intricate network of institutions, galleries, events, and publications. This class will attempt to make sense of your place within the 21st century art world. Your own creative practice will take center stage. Students will create a body of work to exhibit in the Vachon Gallery. This seminar style course will include critique, studio practice, readings, presentations, writing, and exhibiting. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
