PSYC 4160 - Health Psychology5 credit hours An introduction to the field of health psychology from the perspective of both a researcher and clinician. Students will gain a broad understanding of the interrelationships among behavioral, emotional, cognitive, social, and biological components in health and disease. All of this will be understood in the context of the promotion and maintenance of health, as well as the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of illness; in sum, the interface of psychology, behavior, and health. Registration restrictions may be bypassed by the department with permission of instructor.
