NURS 4191 - Promoting the Health of Children and Families Clinical5 credit hours Clinical Practice providing nursing care of children and their families’ birth through young adulthood. Apply the art of caring for children through use of acquired knowledge in the areas of health promotion, common childhood illness, injury, and disease. Use family centered care and Collaboration with other health care professionals, to guide assessment of risk or health deviations, select priority age appropriate interventions, and education with focus in both community based and acute care environments. Think Safety in regards to families and health care systems to prevent harm. Prerequisite Courses: NURS 3390, 3391, 3590, 3591. Co-requisite Course: NURS 4190.
