FILM 3020 - History of Film5 credit hours A survey of the history of narrative film from the beginnings in the late 19th century through the 1960s. The course will cover such major technical developments as sound and color, and national movements and film styles such as Soviet Montage, German Expressionism and Italian neo-realism. The films to be studied will include a selection of works from American and international cinema.
